Zoe + Seth

Zoe and Seth are a laidback, fun loving couple that make you feel like you’ve been friends with them since forever. They are super down to earth and wanted everyone on their day to have a blast.

The day began by photographing Zoe getting ready at Linden Row Inn, followed by a first look in an alley on Monument Avenue. Zoe and Seth scouted the streets a couple weeks before the wedding and found a perfect nook for the first look. I really loved the untraditional feeling of having the first look in an alley, too- there was something really Richmond feeling about it.

The ceremony and reception took place at The Hofheimer Building. Their guests began filing onto the rooftop for a pre-ceremony cocktail hour (best idea ever), and got to mingle with drinks in their hands before the wedding started.

Zoe and Seth said their vows under a gorgeous floral arbor decorated by Vessel and Stem. The punchy, fresh florals in shades of pink were prevalent throughout the whole reception decor. Zoe even wore a pink cathedral veil!

They started their first dance to a slow song and then surprised everyone by breaking out dancing to Bazzi - “Mine” , complete with a bubble machine. Everyone was so caught off guard and cheering, and it kicked off the fun night on the best note. We made time to sneak away for a few minutes of sunset pictures on the rooftop, which was so worth it. I was completely energized leaving their reception (even at 8 months pregnant), that’s the kind of people that they are! Enjoy some of my favorite photos from their day.
