It’s all in the details.

As a wedding photographer who has been to hundreds of weddings, I’m always looking for ways to help make wedding planning easier for my couples. And on the flip side, as a former bride I know how challenging it can be to plan a wedding! Since invitations are one of the many decisions you have to make during your wedding planning, today’s post is highlighting one of my favorite wedding invitation companies: Basic Invite. I photographed a sample set of their wedding invitations to review and spotlight some of my favorite aspects from the ordering process. My hope is that this helps you if you’re in the market for some wedding invitations!

I chose the Dark Dutch Floral invitation suite and had a blast styling the moody and playful design. The paper felt sturdy to the touch and was printed with crisp, vibrant colors.

Favorite features:

Personalized Invitation Samples - From the start, one of the first things I loved about the ordering process was that I could personalize my invitation samples. That means I could change the names, location, wording, and even the colors. Basic Invite offers pictured wedding invitations, and I even had the option to upload my own pictures for the samples. The samples arrived in less than a week, and I LOVED the packaging that they came in!

Matching Design Suite - It’s no secret that I love photographing details on a wedding day, and a matching invitation suite can make a huge impact in the photos. The invitation design sets the tone for the wedding day, and you can carry the design theme through your save the dates, invites, menu, place cards, and thank you cards. You can even set up a custom wedding website through Basic Invite with your matching invitation design! No need for anything to be mismatched when you can have them all complement each other beautifully. Basic Invite has 900 different styles to choose from and there’s bound to be one that matches your wedding.

Almost Unlimited Colors - This is a big feature in my eyes. Basic Invite has hundreds of color options with the ability to instantly preview the invitations online. I almost went dizzy with playing around with all the different possible color combinations of backgrounds and fonts.

Free Address Collection Service - When I got married, I remember making a spreadsheet of all of my guests addresses and texting/calling/messaging each guest for their updated address. Having this address collection service makes it SO much easier. Basic Invite offers a free address collection service to request your addresses with just three simple steps. Share a link via social media or email, collect addresses, and get free envelope printing.

Seal & Send Wedding Invitations - Their seal and send wedding invitations are an all-in-one wedding invitation with a tear-off RSVP postcard included! The guest's addresses are printed on the front of each invitation so no envelope is necessary. Once you receive your order all you have to do is add postage, fold your invites, and secure them with a sticker! My friend used this option for her wedding and it was so easy when I sent my RSVP back to her- I just had to tear off the postcard and stick it in the mail.

I hope my review was helpful! If you’d like to find Basic Invite on social media, you can follow along @basicinvite:
