King George, VA Portraits | Boyd Family

One thing that I love about photography is how much of a connector it is. Being photographed is a very vulnerable thing, so there is a big level of trust happening during a shoot. So much that after the photographs are taken, sometimes I feel like I have known the subject for forever! It's a strange thing, but also a good thing because you can walk away from a shoot with new friends. This session with the Boyd's was no exception- they were such a fun and personable family that it felt like we had already been friends for awhile. The day of the session was breezy and beautiful, and I could not have asked for a more perfect day or location. Isn't that just the prettiest yellow barn?
